1Am I eligible to use the Shared Transport service?

Our Shared Transport service is available to eligible people with disabilities, and eligible people over 65 years of age living independently. Users over 65 years must be registered with My Aged Care and you will need to undergo an assessment to determine if you are eligible. 2How much does the Shared Transport service cost?
There is a low flat rate of $5.00 each way to any destination on the Gold Coast, payable to the driver.
3Am I eligible to use the Social Outings service?
Our senior Social Outings service is available to persons over 65 years of age living independently. Users must be registered with My Aged Care and you will need to undergo an assessment to determine if you are eligible. We recommend you call us on 07 5526 5288 prior to contacting them so we can provide you with assistance.
4How much do the Social Outings cost?
The cost for Social Outings varies depending on the type and location. For example, the Mullumbimby Meander costs $20 and includes door-to-door transport and morning tea. 5Are the Social Outings wheelchair friendly?
Unfortunately we do not have a wheelchair friendly vehicle large enough to accommodate the large quantity of people using this service.
6Am I eligible to use the Shopping Club service?
Our Shopping Club is available to persons over 65 years of age living independently. Users must be registered with My Aged Care and you will need to undergo an assessment to determine if you are eligible. 7How much does the Shopping Club cost?
The cost for our Shopping Club service is a flat fee of $5.00 and is payable to the driver. This includes a pick-up and return door-to-door service.
8Am I eligible to use the Cancer Patient Transport Service?
If you are a cancer patient residing on the Gold Coast all you need is a referral from your medical facility or oncologist. Carers can also travel with patients on our Cancer Patient Transport Service.
9How much does the Cancer Patient Transport Service cost?
The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation proudly funds this service however a contribution of $5.00 each way is suggested. To book this service call us on 07 5526 5288.
