Community Transport Under the QCSS

What is the QCSS?

Do you need Community Transport but are not eligible for the NDIS? The Queensland Community Support Scheme is a new scheme providing support services that maintain and promote independence and quality of life.

Eligibility for the QCSS is for people under the age of 65 (or under 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) with:

  • A disability, who are not eligible for the NDIS
  • Chronic illness, mental health and/or other condition
  • Circumstances impacting your ability to live independently

What can Volunteering Gold Coast Provide?

Volunteering Gold Coast are funded by the QLD Government to support you to access your community. We will do this by providing you community transport to and from:

  • Shopping Trips
  • Recreational Activities
  • Medical Appointments

Weekend Community Transport

If you need our Community Transport on the weekends, we may be able to help you. Bookings will need to be made in advanced.

How to Apply for the QCSS

Contact the QCSS Access Point by calling 1800 600 300 or email QCSSaccesspoint@ozcare.org.au.

OR complete an online client registration at www.serviceavailabilityregister.com.au. Either way the staff will talk to you about how you are coping with daily living, assess your QCSS eligibility and determine the support you need.

Once you have confirmed your eligibility with the QCSS please call us on 07 5526 5288 to book your first trip.
