Past, present and future

Volunteering Gold Coast Transport Services is the leader in community development and support.

Established in 1998, through the funding from the Home and Community Care (HACC) program, Volunteering Gold Coast's primary objective was to support and enrich HACC services and clients through the development of a strong volunteer contribution.

Since this time, Volunteering Gold Coast has significantly increased the range of services it offers through volunteer referral. This is realised through the provision of a resource consultancy and volunteer referral service to those community and non-profit organisations that routinely utilise volunteers to support service provision.

Volunteering Gold Coast won the Westpac Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards 2011 for 'The Most Outstanding Not-for-Profit'. In 2012, Volunteering Gold Coast was instrumental in securing the 23rd IAVE (International Association for Volunteer Effort) World Volunteer Conference which was held at the Gold Coast Exhibition and Conference Centre in 2014. During 2014, Volunteering Gold Coast devised their successful Business initiative Volunteering Services Australia, in order to expand their services across varies locations in Australia.

Volunteering Gold Coast forms an integral part of the Gold Coast community by providing volunteers to over 300 community organisations. In addition to this, the organisation's iniatiative Volunteering Services Australia is expanding rapidly, connecting more organisations across Australia with volunteers than ever before. Volunteering Gold Coast's core principles are the foundation for long term strategic goals.
